Weight Loss and Raw Vegetable Eating

Many people on Gerson Therapy experience a rapid weight loss.  Why is this?  Simply put,

eating raw vegetables burns up calories, and it improves your metabolism.  Improved metabolism

burns up calories and utilizes the calories for energy.  It is incredible how much weight I lost after one month of 

the Gerson Therapy program.  I did one coffee enema a day and ate nothing but raw vegetables. No salt whatsoever. 

And I juiced until it came out of my ears.  I lost 25 lbs in one month.   Without trying.  I had so much energy, that 

nobody could keep up with me on  a hike in the grand canyon. I was dancing circles around everyone.  It was so 

much fun to feel so healthy.   In fact, I don't think I felt that healthy and vibrant since I was 15 years old.  My skin 

radiated with health and clarity.   During the Gerson program I put myself on for detoxification, I did a little 

exercise each day.  Maybe 20 minutes of light exercise.  I did not push myself.    And I was NEVER hungry.  I only 

needed 800 calories a day from the raw vegetables and fruits and juices. Those calories were "energy" calories and 

so I had lots of energy, and only needed 5 hours of sleep. I would awaken naturally at 4 AM every morning ready to 

start my day. My entire inner clock changed.  Going vegan for me was the best thing that happened to me in my life. 

There is something so magical and mystical about real living food.
